I met Heather in January of 2016. The company was struggling. My prior CFO had abruptly resigned the month before, and I had barely avoided bankruptcy by selling assets. The books were not at all as they were represented to me, and financial controls were non-existent.

Heather quickly assessed the situation, got her hands “dirty”, and three months later we were able to feel confident about accuracy and quality of the financial statements, including the impact of the assets sold. Heather took charge and ran point on building a forecast, defining and hiring an Accounting team, the banking relationships, accounting relationships, and other important partnerships.

Because of Heather’s outstanding work, we were able to position the company for sale to a Private Equity group that closed 10 months after Heather joined the company. She worked tirelessly to make sure the transaction was consummated. She professionally transitioned the financial aspects of the company to the new ownership group.
